Dishonest employees and bad customer service

I have been shopping at Zales for about as long as I can remember. I have bought things there myself, and have recieved many gifts that has been purchased from Zales. The one incident that has stuck me was the fact on how hard it is to return things that you buy there. For Christmas I recieved and ESQ watch and I was not even allowed to exchange it, even though I did have the reciept from the person who had bought me the watch.

Also, reciently I have been working on returning or exchanging a ring that I had gotten as a gift. I had all the paperwork needed to return it, but the employer of the store would not even let me exchange it for something else. After a month or calling the store about three times a day, and a lot of headaches later, they finally said I could exchange it, but only for the same exact product.

Since I was unhappy with the first product, why would I want the same thing? Especially when what I was told that I was getting was not what I recieved. Being a ring that cost over two thousand dollars, you assume that you are recieving something of quality, but when purchasing things from Zales, this is not what you get. Being so upset, I resulted in taking the ring to a pawn shop, hoping to at lease get some of the money back from it. But, this was not the case, because the diamonds were not quality diamonds (they had a whole bunch of black stuff in them), that Zales are what people know them for, and that when they sized the ring, everything was not mounted evenly, the only thing I could get for this ring, that was not even used was two hundred dollars.

Knowing this, I resulted back to calling Zales. Being fed up with the Kahala store, I resulted in calling a variety of Zales that are located in Hawaii.

They only response that I recieved from them was that I needed to talk to the manager, which seemed to never be there (even though I called three times every day). And to my suprise, the manager at other stores were never their either. Leaving my name and phone number, I hoped to recieve a call back, but this never happened, I had to continuously call, and had never recieved any feed back.

Reciently, after arguing for a long period of time with two different managers, and the manager of all the Zales in Hawaii, I was given the opportunity to get another ring, but the same one. I was very unhappy because this was not what I wanted. I could not see what the difference in them giving me another ring, or something else, they had been paid for the product.

After more arguing, I was able to recieve a credit for the amount I spent, but I only could use it on one item (what is the difference if I bought one item, or if I bought two, it will still cost the same amount). This made me angry, but what ticked me off the most was the fact that the manager kept refering back to the fact that she was doing me a favor.

Just as a reference, don't buy anything from Zales, they arn't doing you a favor in anything they do, they are just ripping you off
