My friend told me to put this report here so people will know what these people do. I was doing good with my life and had a accident and got hurt was able to work still but not the same way. I am in financial trouble now and am talking to a lawyer about bankruptcy and I should not have to do this. I am not a young person and think about how I could lose all I worked for because of these lawyers. Everyday I feel like I am dieing inside because of what they did and I know things are bad with money for everybody but I would have been OK if they didnt do what they did to me so it is all about money for them not about the people.
I had an accident and called this firm.in the beginning they seemed friendly enough and it was my first case ever with a lawyers I was injured pretty bad and missed some work and it left me with some financial problems. My attorney at Glen Lerners office told me they would get all this back, every penny and not to worry. They told me to go to their doctor and it made things worse! When I went to this lawyers office I told them that I had a knee problem. Well they said exactly I would be looked at by their chiropractor. I went to their doctor and all they did was crack my back and give me heating pads. I kept asking about my knee and was told that they would get me to someone. Then the chiropractor released me from his office. I was confused and started to be very worried because I still had knee problems and it was stopping me from doing things at work and home.
I started to lose some time here and there from work. I talked to my lawyer and they said not to worry but that the knee would be in the settlement. When I said they didnt do anything for my knee at the chiropractors the lawyer told me agin to not worry he has been an attorney here in Las Vegas for many years and he said he will get a good settlement including the knee. I asked and was asking for a while why I was sent to their chiropractor doctor becuase my back did not hurt except for a couple of days after accident and was all fine after. They said it was standard. Then the worse news was they told me they got the best offer and they insisted I take it. They told me it would be too expensive for them to fight it more and I have to take it becuase they are the best in the whole state of Nevada and they say they canot do better. I had to think about it and then becuase I was behind in bills -i had medical bills piled up from this. I thought to take their advice.
It was just a little before Xmas in I think it was three weeks in December and I wanted something to spend on some gifts for my love ones. Then I went to sign for my check they showed me in writing the breakdown of the settlement. They were getting thousands and I was going to get only a few hundred. I started shaking I knew I was being fooled the whiole time. THey told me my bills were taken care of and it was a good settlement. I remember they told me I would be getting much more. I didnt., I siad where is Mr. Lerner can I talk to him please they said he is not here. I said I can wait then said it will be a long time becuase he is not here anymore. What? I remember feeling like they lied and the promises were lies and that if it was not for me feeling I could not win with this lawyer then would not have just given up and taken the money they forced or tricked me into.
I still have bills and I went to a new lawyer for bankruptcy Lerner does this but I will never use them and trust them agin and told her what happen she was so upset she told me to call the Nevada bar and I told her why they already got away with it and the lies. My knee still hurts and why I saw that the Lerner firm gets thousand s and their chriopractor doctor gets more and I am huirt still and got almost nothing. THe accident was not my fault and the police report says it was the other persons fault. I have to wrap up my knee every day now and I dont know if I have to be disable now but why this happened to me I dont know just be careful and I think with so many lawyers dont just pick the one with the loud tv commercail but ask people. People said they are the worse so I learnt the hard way for sure. I hope this helps someone who is looking for a lawyer just dont try them you lose too much and permnant problems from how they lie
