Yesterday morning I called 1-800-flowers and ordered a white orchid corsage and white boutonniere for my elderly parents for Easter Sunday. It was to have been delivered today. Last evening I called back to confirm the order. Tonight I checked with my parents, and they told me that they did not receive the order. When I called the company back just now, I was told that someone from the company had called me earlier to say that the order could not be delivered. However I was home all day and did not receive a call from them. Had I known that your company could not complete the order, I would have made other arrangements. Now it is too late. The person I just spoke to from the company told me that the town where my parents live is too remote a location for the company to fill the order. However, I have sent my parents flowers many times using other florists. Apparently my parents' town is not too remote a location for those other florists, but it is for 1-800-flowers. They had all of Friday to find out that the order couldn't be filled. Why did I have to wait until Saturday night to find out that they couldn't fill a simple order? Then I spoke to a Live Chat representative and was "hung up on." Easter Sunday is a very important holiday for my parents (father is a retired minster!). I am extremely disappointed that 1-800-flowers didn't fill the order and then lied about having called me. If your order is important, don't rely on them!
