I do not live in toms river new jersey nor have i ever been there. But i speak with people on a daily basis that do. And one resounding theme, is how horrible elephant wireless is. Now i have never purchased anything from these people but i experiance their dishonesty and greed on a daily basis and that is why i am sending this report.
I just spoke with a woman that was forced to keep a defective phone, when she told them she just wanted to cancel her service, she was told by the store manager that he would take 300.00 off of her debit card, without her consent. Another incident was a young man was called an hour after he bought a new phone, by the manager of another store, he was screaming saying that this young man stole his phone and he was going to go on a shopping spree with his credit card info... They force people into contract, under the cigular wireless name, under false pretense.
Making people believe that there are going to be no roaming charges, no long distance, unlimted text messaging and then these unsuspecting consumers get their bills for thousands of dollars. This needs to stop. For the customers it needs to stop and for the sanity of my fellow cingular wireless employees. If you are thinking of getting a cingular wireless phone, go to a cigular wireless store.
