As an addendum to what Joseph in Somerset, NJ has written I too have been ripped off by these people. I re-newed my plan with Cingular at the Route 18 mall store in East Brunswick as well and they submitted the rebate themselves for my phone, $150. I am still waiting for this and I signed up in the beginning of December. It is now May! Five months for a rebate? And when I went to the store to complain they acted like they had no idea of what was happening and gave me the number to call for Cingular rebates. I called and they told me that they didn't know who Elephant Wireless was and that they wouldn't have control over them. They said that I have to contact them.
With their website down I couldn't contact them. There were no contact numbers, P.O. Box numbers, or e-mail addresses I could have called. Sounds like Elephant Wireless is a fly-by-night operation and I would highly recommend anyone out there reading this to steer clear of anything that has their name attached to it. I am happy with Cingular, but they should not deal with Elephant Wireless anymore. I am happy with Cingular but I think once my contract is up, I am going to switch to something else because I feel like I've been used by these people and anyone associated with Elephant Wireless doesn't deserve my money. I want my $150 for my phone! I don't like being ripped off.
