Altel wireless highly frustrated & mistreated customer! Ripoff! Arkansas little rock

Could someone give someone in higher managemant or preferrably the corporate office my phone number or give me theirs because i have a serious problem here.

that i told steve to cancel on 8-13.

Apparently they have not done so because after my greeting, the alltel word and menu still comes on. I've only had my cell phone since the month of may and have nothing but a nightmare since.

After i received my phone, i called the alltel number to ask someone why haven't i received a bill yet so i can keep my bills straight, and some customer service rep. Told me they have sent me a bill to xxx hunter street. Now, i live in a rural area so when ever someone cannot deliver a package to a post office and it comes by ups or fed ex. You have to give them a street address (my street address is xxx hunter street, but my frequent mailing address is p.O. Box xxx).

So some customer service male said i have been sent a bill but there is no such thing as my street address as far as receiving a letter, so that is why i hadn't seen one yet. So i told him to send it to my p.O. Box, so we straightened that out.in the mean time he told me my balance was $106.86 (i really don't know how we arrived at this odd number because my phone plan is $35.00 a month because i changed it from a local freedom to a national freedom plan) although i know that i had a $35.00 one time activation fee.

I sent a money order in for $106.86 so i can keep my bills straight, so every friday i always keep tabs on my bill balances whether they are due or not so at the end of the week (another friday) i checked to see if the money order has been credited and it has not. So i waited about three or four more days and i called again to see if the $106.86 has arrived and it still hasn't, it's been almost two weeks now. So now my balance has changed to $150.59.

So while i was on the phone i used a credit card to clear up the $150.59 since the money order has not been credited yet. I called back the next day and i had been credited $106.86... Okay. So i checked the following friday and it is the same, fine. So i checked again the next friday and the automated system on the phone said i had a $19.00 credit.

I called customer service to try and see what is going on and i was switched over to eight different people from the florida office to the little rock, arkansa office for almost two hours and the last person that i talked to was a lady named shonda in the retention dept. With a southern accent. She was trying to explain how my balance droped from $106.86 in less than thirty days which makes no sense to me and never will.

In the mean time i told her that if this is what having a cell phone is all about that i would rather cancel my services and she said what can i do to straighten out this matter, and i asked what would you like to be done if it was you?

This is a rip off and i've been charged some of everything and here it is 8-1 and i've only had the phone since may, not even three months. So she said that she would wave off another late charge and that my balance is $89.00 and i told her okay and thank you. (but in the mean time i'm still not understanding from $106.86 to $89.00, where did the $17.86 go?)

So the following friday i checked the automated billing system and now my balance is a credit of $19.00. So now i call to check my balance approximately three days ago and now its $54.40 (now it is 8-13) then i call customer service and talked to at least three possibly four different people and the last on is this smart elic in the little rock, arkansas office named steve and i told him to let me talk to shonda at ext. #5112, since she did tell me when i talked to her that if i had anymore problems to give her a call but she wouldn't get on the phone, all of a sudden she's so busy! And he (steve) tried to tell me how good of a wireless service that alltel had to offer and i told him that i'm
a customer and that's your opinion. And if i'd pay my bills on time that i wouldn't be having this problem and i doubt that he is even authorized to say those kind of things to a customer.

I told him that i'm so sick of this nonsense that i just want out and cancel my service i'll just have to be penalized that i don't care. So he thought he could threaten me with if i canceled my service that i would have to pay an additional $150.00 or $200.00 and i told him thats not what my paper says. My paper says that a early termination fee is $125.00 and he told me thats not right. And i told him that i don't care whats right, all i know is my paper states in black/white that i would pay $125.00 so he told me to fax him a copy, and oh you do have that access don't you (like everybody owns or even needs a fax maching at their house) and i told him that i would mail it to him that i worked 3rd shift and i just got home and i was going to sleep.

But the more i thought about it the more i couldn't sleep so i got dressed and went to the bank and got it faxed and that costed me $5.00. So the next day (8-14) i called at least three, possibly four times to call that mr. Steve guy and twice two different people transfered me over to his voice mail so i could leave him a message and i said that you need to call me home, but he never did now he's playing the igrnore her game i suppose.

So today is 8-16 and it's approximately 11:30 pm in oklahoma, my resident (central time) and i just happened to walk by the phone and give a call to the 877 number that someone gave me to headquarters and is closed until m-f and by the way while i was on the phone i decided to check the balance on my account since my payments are due on the 24th of each month accordiing to mrs.

Shonda and my minutes have been changed from the 13th to the 13th to better serve me as if this is supposed to do me a favor i probably haven't had the phone out of my purse but twice in the last three weeks any, i almost forgot i had it and the automated system said my balance is $166.94 so here i go again, can somebody please help me get out of this mess! And now i see why so many people complain about their cell phone and change from one company to another.

Alltel is my local home phone server only because i live in a small rural area and they have the whole town wired and i have probably had my phone over five years and i have never been late to my knowledge and have definately never had any form of a shut off notice, but the wireless phone have been nothing for me but a nightmare! And if this is what having a cell phone is all about if my car ever breaks down on me i'd rather walk andy day of the week.

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! 9-18-03 As of this day I have a bill laying in front of me that I received two days ago (9-16-03) that I have been charged a $200.00 early disconnect penalty for after I spent $5.00 to fax a copy of my black/white paperwork that states that my early termination cancellation fee is $125.00, and that a credit of $33.06 has been deducted as if they are doing me some kind of a favor and my now balance is $166.94 and I have already paid approximately $257.?? ALREADY!

I had the phone from May and told them to turn it off in August because they were chargeing me so much money that I can't keep up! I was supposed to be charged a $35.00 activation fee plus $43.00 a month billing and the first month my bill was $106.86 AND I NEVER HAVE SEEN A $43.00 BILL YET AND NEVER WILL, NOT WITH THIS COMPANY!
