I received a special offer in the mail to switch my business long distance over to Sprint in exchange for great long distance rates & a $100 Discover Gift Card.
I called to set up service with Sprint. I was set up on the advertised phone rate of 6.2 cents per minute BUT what they did not tell me is that I had to make a minimum of $50 in phone call per month or they would charge the account the difference (my long distance averages $35 per month). I called to complain and was told that it was all explained in my welcome packet which was received approx 4 weeks after siging up. It was definately explained in the welcome packet in tiny letters at the very bottom of the letter.
The $100 Discover Gift Card was to be mailed approx 8 weeks after 1st signing up for the service. I signed up in late April and still have not recieved the "incentive" to switch my long distance service.
I have called several times and the associates are all pleasant, tell me that I should have received it by now and that they'll check into it, can I hold please. So I hold & wait for them to tell me they'll call me back. I have called once a week since July 23 and no one has ever called me back and no incentive has ever arrived.
I believe that this is a scam to get people switched over, hope they'll forget what made them switch to begin with and Sprint never has to come through with what they promised.
I expect that I'll never receive the gift card BUT I will definately find another carrier for my Long Distance - AT & T here I caome.
