A man hung a flyer on my door advertising Comcast Cable I called the number on 10/08/01 and a representative by the name of Rick came to my home and explain the features about the system.
They were running a special of all the basic channels for the low price of $19.95 for 3 months after which the price will be $39.95 per month. There was a deluxe package for $44.95 which will give all the channels including HBO, Starz etc. To name a few.
I signed up for the deluxe package that way I could eliminate any
of the shows that I didn't want. So, I gave him $50.00 in cash
and he wrote up the contract and schedule for the service to ne turned on (10/11/01).
I had not had cable in six years so I really didn't know who was the cities cable provider until later that evening when I spoke to one of my friends and they told me that Comcast can not set cable in Highland park. The next day I called and cancelled my contract he said he will come out (10/9/01) and bring me my money. I also called him again on (10/10/01) and he said he would bring me my money by 2:00 P.M. That same day. Today is 10/12/01 and I have not recieved my money and I don't think I'm going to.
The guy is black and is an older guy in his late fifties early sixties His name is not Rick that's the name on the flyer. When you call this number he answers (1 313 585-2506)
