My dealing with Haldane goes back 20 years ago during the recession of the early 1980's. Like many, I responded to the lure of the 'hidden job market' described in the newspaper add. The insinuation then and now is they are tapped into a lucrative non published job market and can place you there.
A meeting with one of their well dressed advisors went as all the others did, ending with a vague application where I was to fill in my 'goals and ambitions'. Already very suspicious, I came out and asked them directly how many jobs do you have? The answer was direct and to the point, "Not a one!" In 30 seconds I discovered it was clear Haldane was not a recruiter at all. They are nothing more than a high priced out placement service.in other words they give you advice on how to market yourself but have little or no actual job leads.
I ran from that encounter. Fortunately all it cost me was a day of my time and train fare.interesting to see 20 years later they run the exact same deal. The misleading deceptive add still runs prominently in the Chicago Tribune. Their recruiting technique is virtually unchanged.
Please do not fall for their message.in most states your unemployment office will give you access to the same services Haldane provides for free. Bottom line, you will pay them thousands of dollars for advise on how to find a job. That's it. They have no contacts or leads.
