Niko Laos, Cydcor
Ripoff, lie, cheat, dishonest, misleading, never paid for training, promised pay which never happend false promises

I've read a lot about Cydcor the past couple of days, and it hasn't been good. I went into Niko Laos (a company within Cydcor) not knowing what it was about, and the whole time they were very "shady" and never came out and told me exactly what they did, or what I would be doing. They didn't care about my resume or my application. It was all about "people skills". After the 2nd Interview, they offered me the job. I told them I wanted to think about it, and asked if I could call them as soon as I got home (I just got out of highschool and wanted to talk to my parents about it.) The guy doing the interview said "Well we do have other people we're interviewing, so we need to know now." (pressure) I said ok, I'd take it. Up front, they had told me that the first week or so would be PAID training. ($300 a week)

I went through the training and tried to like it, but couldn't seem to put everything I had into it. I put on that high-energy face they all have during the morning meetings and was a good "student" and took notes on everything. We never sat down, by the way, and once someone asked me not to touch the walls!!! ("the flat paint makes them hard to clean" he said) The whole time I thought it was wierd. I got onto my "leader" once and told him he never answered my questions and I didn't like that. He fumbled around and then was more direct with me. Also, on one of my days of training, I had to go out with a guy who smoked the whole entire day. I could barely breathe in his car, and I was sick for a week after that. One other time, my leader and I got in an accident (rear-ended) and my neck hurt very bad for 2 days after that. They didn't care. All this happened within ONE WEEK of "training"!! I can't imagine what happens all the time...

But eventually I decided I didn't like it, and since I had my own website design business going already before I even applied for the job, (www.studio785.com) I wasn't truly interested. The thought of owning my own business within a year, anywhere in the world I wanted, appealed to me. But I wasn't sure I wanted Cydcor to be in control, ya know? (now I'm glad I had that caution) I read an article in Cydcor News about a girl who had her own business, Madison Marketing. I was impressed, but I also noticed that she considered her business her life, and didn't really have a life outside of that. At the time, even after only a week of working w / Niko Laos, I was really tired and getting worn out, and the thought of being a a business 24/7/365 did NOT appeal to me.

On my last day, which was a Monday, I went through the training that day, but at the end of the day I told my leader my decision and he agreed. He said I was young and should experience more things before I decide on one job. (he also agreed that I had everything going for me, - referring to my own business i already have going - and wondered why I even applied for the job.
But nonetheless, at the end of that day I walked out, without even talking to the owner or anyone, and no one ever "missed" me.
My leader said I would be getting a check after the 30th of that month.

So I waited till the 15th or so of the following month, and I hadn't gotten a check yet. So I looked them up online (that's when I found this website and all the crap on them) and got the phone #. I called them and they said they'd call me back. Well they didn't, so I waited 2 days then called them back. I talked to the owner, Eddie, and he asked what I was told I would get. I said I was told it was paid training, $300 a week. He laughed and said "What?!?" He went on to explain that he never told anyone they got paid for the training. I'm like well that was NOT explained clearly at the beginning. He just made excueses, said he'd look into it and call me. Yeh, right. I'm sure I'll never get that check. It would be over $300, because I made some sales that week as well.

I just want everyone to know that the company is deceptive and never up-front with it's employees. You'll never get paid on time, if at all. (unless you work your butt off and sacrifice your health, family, and LIFE!) If they were making as much money as they say they are, they should NOT have a problem writing out an employee a $300 check (when they are making "millions"). No one there drives a car that reflects this money they are supposedly making. Just keep that in mind.
