If you are considering buying from this company consider again. The ads are so overpriced that you will not get what you pay for.
The company does not care about anything but getting you sold.
I know because i was a loyal employee. Over the past few years the reps and customers of the company have been lead to believe that the mistakes that happen are growing pains. They are lead to believe that they will be corrected.
This is not, nor has it been, the case.
It is true that across the nation the publication date is hardley ever what you the customer are told on purchase. It is also true that the amount of books distributed are commonly less then what is promised. Often books disappear or end up in someones dumpsters. It is of no concern to anyone but the customer when the questions arise as to why this is happening. Occasionaly a rep will stand up and side with the customer. This usually dooms the rep to being blacklisted within the company as a trouble maker. Someone who is not on board and can hit the door.
It is not known to every rep walking in your door either. Keep in mind the company has a turnover rate that is unbelievable. Even considering that it is a sales position.
You the buyer do what is best for you. Do not trust in this company.
If you do not believe in what i tell you and you have been sold by an experieanced sales person even after reading this ask these questions to your rep. Let your final decision be one that you make with knowledge and not blind trust.
1. Ask the rep to call customer service for you in front of you. Ask them for the number that you will be provided with on your bill. To often then not it is impossible to reach someone. Keep in mind the person you are calling is the person you will have to deal with when issues arise.
2. Ask the rep how long they have been with the company. Most have not been there for over a year. Ask them have they had issue that they could not get resolved. Such as ad proofing, billing. Issues like these could very well be some you will have to deal with yourself.
3. Ask if the rep enjoyies working for the company. If they say yes ask for the reasons why. Keep in mind if this individual quits you will be left defending actions or statements of someone that most likely is no longer interested in you.
4. Ask for the office number and addreass. Make sure you get your reps number also. It would be a great idea to get his or her addreass also. That way if they quit you can still get in contact. Tell them you want to send them a thank you card.
5. One thing i notice is that many people on here point blame at mexican or hispanic greed. Know this although its true that there are many latinos working for the company the deception does not come from any one race. The person in front of you may or may not knowingly be ripping you off. They may not care about the latino community one bit or they may care more then you know. Our nation is going into tough times, good jobs are scarice. The person in front of you may have been sold as you could have been. Or they simply could not care and are just doing the job they have been given. One thing i am sure of is that they will come and they will not be any one given race.
6. Oh and one more thing that leaves the sell dead in the water. Ask for a previous years book. Look at it. This small amount of your time may save you time and money in the future. If you go threw it and happen not to notice any of the mistakes that are so common call the customers. Tell your rep you want to call ten to twenty of the companys in the book and verify thier satisfaction with the company. This most always 100% will give you the answers you are looking for. Do not take my word for it, do not take your sells reps word, take the word of fellow business men in your community.
