This Scott North of Allen North properties is a rip off artist, and slum lord. Scott north left raw sewage that had overflowed in the downstairs bathroom prior to me moving in. Scott North rented a town home to to me in this condition.
The carpet was not clean, the kitchen was not clean, the walls were not freshly painted as the apartment I viewed prior to signing a lease.
There were cup stains, and dirt on all the window seals upstairs and downstairs which showed that the place had gone from one tenant to the next without being cleaned. There was hair in the rooms and in the bathrooms left behind from the tenant before me.
My rent was $635 and Scott North required a $900 deposit. I asked Scott how could he even Justify asking more than the rent as a deposit after taking the keys and moving into one of these units. I told him that normally when a owner asks for a greater amount of deposit, the unit is more upscale, not in poor condition.
My sink ran as slow and with as much pressure as a school water fountain in the kitchen. It took me huge amounts of water, and time to even wash my dishes, and the stove range didn't work. There was no fan inside the vent.
It took me three phone calls and almost two months to get Scott North to send someone to repair these two simple things.
The plumbing was clogged and also all the small heaters, and fans in the bathroom didn't work properly, or made noise louder than my Tv at high volume.
The wood cabinets were not painted, and the fake wood was peeling off and looked terrible. I asked Scott North to bring back the paint, and he said he would drop it off, and never did.
Scott North rented to a man next door, who moved out within a month and a half, who never slept and kept me up all night ravaging through boxes and making noise in his home. This man moved out and Scott north sent carpet cleaners by my apartment with a key to my home instead of the key to the actual apartment that this man moved out next door, as to show me that he was and does clean carpets.
The carpet cleaners never returned with the right keys to clean the apartment next door, and I am sure he kept what ever deposit the man had given him saying he had the carpets cleaned.
This was not the first time Scott kept sending maintenance people to my address with wrong keys to my apartment to bother me.
Days prior to Scot North renting the apartment next door to me he came by with a bucket and cleaning supplies, closed the curtains, and did what ever he so calls cleaning on his own. This guy is so cheap, he pretends to clean apartments on his own, to keep $250 cleaning deposits from the tenants.
I found a disabled woman to rent my townhouse from me with a service dog, and Scott North refused and discriminated against her. Everyone in my building had cats, and he told her that he would not rent to her with her service dog, because it was a cats only building.
I have never heard of such a thing in my life. As my lease was coming to an end i kept getting letters from Scott North out of no where.
Letters of him wanting to do routine winter checks of heaters and alarms, what a joke coming from a person who took 2 months to fix two things. This was clearly a man who wanted to inspect my place to snoop and see the condition of my place before my lease ended.
This guy Scott north is scum, and anyone doing business with him should beware.
He pretends to be nice, but is not really a nice person at all, He uses people at will to suit his purpose. When he had 3 empty units he was begging people to move in them, and once he filled the building he began harassing.
The neighbors said that there had been many people with dogs, so why he chose to discriminate against her is beyond me.
He is truly a real jerk. Don't do business with him.
