Aarons Rent to Own is a rip off. They charge you outrageous prices for less than poor furniture. They also treat you like dirt because they know that most people that go thru them usually have no other option.
My husband and I had an entire living room set from them that was not worth anything nor comfortable and on Thanksgiving my parents came over and sat with my kids while we did the Black Friday thing, the next day they called and told us to meet them at Furniture Factory Outlet and they bought us a new couch and love seat because they said ours was a waste of money. When we contacted Aarons to come a get their couch and love seat they informed us they were going to pick it all up that we could not just return the two pieces and gave us a really hard time about it, so my husband told them just to come get it all and they said well it will be a few days before we can make it over there. We had to wait 5 days before we could even pick up our new furniture because Aarons made us wait.
They have also told us that we still owe them over $200 dollars because we did not keep the furniture for 6 months. Well on top of all of this we had such an issue with them from the start that we should have known better. When they delivered the furniture one lamp was completely broken and the other was damaged so they said they would order us new ones and they would deliver them in 3 days, well two weeks went by and my husband called them and talked to the manager turns out the lamps had not been ordered and the shattered lamp was just sitting in the back and supposedly no one knew where it came from. Then we had a concern that the couch arm was damaged and they sent their furniture guy out to look at it and of course they said nothing was wrong with it but it took us days to even get a hold of anyone at Aarons they kept telling us they would call us back but never heard from them.
They have no idea what customer service is nor do they care. They charge you 4 times more than what the furniture they sale is worth and they treat people like scum.
Now, good news is that Furniture Factory Outlet offers no credit check financeing and even with the interest you pay less than what the furniture is actually worth because they are an outlet store (furniture is new) and instead of 3 years or whatever rental places are at FFO its paid off in a year. They are awesome and I will go back! Tell Nate that Ian sent you!
