I used JustAnswer to get assistance in a legal matter referencing subpoenas and the manner in which the processor serves them to you. As the processor did not serve it directly to me at my home, but to a co-worker at my job, for me, I thought I would not have to appear on the court date. The answer seemed good enough for me, I agreed to pay the $38.00 charged for the expert lawyer's answer.
I was totally shocked to learn the next business day, November 23rd, that JustAnswer had billed me twice for the one-time-usage! I did no back-and-forth communications with the person; as her advice was to appear in the court to avoid further court actions against me. Because it was late the night when I checked my accounts, I couldn't do anything about what had transpired, and decided to wait until the next business day to handle the matter!
I appeared in court the morning of November 24th. It did not go well. The courts had rendered a verdict on the case on Friday the 20th. I decided on my way from the courthouse to stop at my bank and inform them of the double-billing of my account by JustAnswer, to see what could be done about it. To my surprise, JustAnswer had charged my account again (the same day) for a total of $76.00. I'm out of $152.00 for one-time-usage that lasted about 20 minutes!
I've e-mailed them twice already to express my outrage and disappointment, to call them thieves and to demand a refund of my money for a total of $114.00. My bank says they have to pay them before they can dispute the charges. My income is limited. I negotiated with these people in good faith, and this is the thanks I get! I have JustAnswer stealing my money at will!
If what I've read about JustAnswer is true, it'll take an act of congress to stop these thieves! Until my bank and I can stop them from withdrawing money from my account, Iam in financial trouble! Is there someone out there who can help myself and others, stop these thieves from luring unsuspecting people in and robbing them!?
