Parcel from Canada lost and company denies liability

I was shipping a parcel from canada to usa and they lost my parcel and now they told me that they are not liable for this and when I call all the office and find the latest status on the package it say it is on it way to you and but dont give you exact time when it is going to be delivered and they have poor customer service
