I took a set of rims and tires to UPS shipping center to have them box up and ship out a set of wheels and tires to my buyer. I had the wheels and tires modestly insured at 1200.00 for fear of them getting damaged or something. Buyer calls me week later and ask were the wheels and tires are. I was confused because I look up the tracking information and it say delieverd??? I call the guy back and he adimately claims he never recieved the wheels and tires and wants his money back because he thinks I'm trying to rip him off. I then have ups give me a proof of delievry they can't... Buyer never signed for anything UPS claimed they left it at the front door. I told ups "well the buyer didn't get the wheels". UPS said they'll check with there driver and run a trace on the wheels. UPS gets back to me about 10-days later and said the package was lost and they will be sending me the default amount on insurance. Default i asked??? UPS said when you don't insure the package the most they refund is 100.00?? Well then I got angry and called the UPS outlet that packed and shipped the wheels and tires for me. This ups outlet said B.S. You insured this package for 1200.00 he called them up and they even gave there own shipping outlet the run around. Now the latest is they were only tracking one of the three packages and that only one of the three was lost so they will need to run another trace on the last two packages. They still haven't admited I had 1200.00 worth of insurance. I wish to take legal action to collect on the insurance that i paid for as well as legal fees associated.
