I was called in June by Worldwide Marketing Solutions of Florida with a promise that they had my timeshare sold. For a mere $1298 to complete the deal, I would be refunded this amount when the sale was completed. Tyrone Johnson was the salesman and he was very smooth. I got the contract in the mail and the name was wrong. They made light of this and sent me a new one. I signed it and sent it back but never got a signed document from the company. They called until I returned the agreement then I heard nothing. When I called the number given me, and the caller ID one I wrote down I never got a person. I did leave some angry messages but it didn't help.
I wonder if I had invoked the 30 day cancellation clause if I woud have gotten my money back=doubtful. I used my bank card where I carry less than a $500.00 balance, not wanting to give out my credit card number. I should have used my credit card. The bank told me that after 60 days they can't do anything. They did however supply me with this link!!!
I have written to the company, got to talk to Robert, the customer service rep, who in a authorative manner told me too bad, I signed the agreement, good bye.
I went to my attorney. He said if the company does not have a real estate lisence they are promoting themselves illegally. I wrote to the attorney general of Florida, and called my credit card company to get some help. I will probably never see my money but am wondering if others dealing with Worldwide Marketing solutions have been scammed.
