Lied to and swindled!

Guardian Security installed a monitored security system in my home. They used double-sided tape to attach the wireless sensors to my doors. After several months the tape began failing and two sensors fell off. When I called Guardian, a Guardian representative instructed me to, "simply put a new piece of tape on the back of the sensor and stick it back up where it was." Guardian also stated that they would come and do this for a fee of $79.00! I was not able to do this myself, so I had my son come over and do this for me. After sticking the two sensors back up exactly as they had been before, the system would no longer see the doors as open or closed. I called Guardian and they in turn spoke with my son. Guardian even asked me for my permission to allow my son to do anything on the system before they would talk with him. They (Guardian) walked him through the process of verifying if the sensors were correctly placed on the doors. When my son handed the phone back to me, I was informed that warranty was now void "because you have had someone besides us come and work on your system." When I let my son speak with them again to straighten this out, a Guardian representative by the name of Patty, told him that "we often have customers stick sensors back up that have fallen off... It's not rocket science." When my son questioned if this would indeed void the warranty, she said NO. My son then asked to have this corrected in the account record and to speak with a supervisor, he was placed on hold. After some time on hold, Patty came back informed him that "yes, the warranty was now void because I had hired another company to come and work on the system." I NEVER had anyone else besides my son touch anything on this system. I was too short to do stick them back up myself! My son asked to speak with a supervisor again. After sometime on hold Patty returned and refused to let him speak with the supervisor. When he asked for the supervisors name, he was told it was Phil and "that's all I'm allowed to say". She then told my son that if we didnt like it, cancel our service. Which means paying the total dollar amount of the length of contract immediately and receiving no monitoring services! In summation, I was told to do something by Guardian, then they use that as an excuse to cancel my warranty and tell me 'too bad... You don't like it... Pay us all our money now and go away'! This is not right or fair! Ripoff!!
