The following is a copy of my email discussion with 247coaching when I signed up. Peter (their sales representative) said that if I wasn't satisfied with the service, they would refund my $300. If it turned out that I indeed was satisfied, then they would convert it to a lifetime service.

Here is the original email agreement: Dated Aug 27

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your email. It is a new service and yes it takes time, however, the traffic is growing all the time:)

I've spoken to my director and here's a deal.

I'll place you on the usual 12 month 'Find A Therapist' service just like the one online now. However, when your service comes up for renewal in 12 months we'll call you and if you are unhappy we'll refund the $299 to you in full. Alternatively, if you're happy to continue the service because you're getting good results we'll simply put you back on the lifetime deal which you signed-up for with no additional payment. This way you have nothing to lose at all!

Please keep this email for your records too.

Let me know if this is good with you.

Speak soon,
Peter.

So, the service has not paid for itself, I am not satisfied, and if you read the emails below (in reverse chronological order - I pasted it to preserve accuracy) you'll see that they have now started to ignore my emails. They claim that there have been click throughs, but I have no proof, and have not received a single inquiry from anyone claiming to have seen their site. ZERO ROI.

I am very disappointed in this company, and feel that there is little integrity in them for not following through with our original agreement - which, I might add, was their idea. Evidently they said anything they had to in order to make the sale. Steve Stockton is the owner, and cannot be reached.

I would strongly suggest that you avoid this company - I feel quite deceived.

I sent you an email ten days ago and haven't heard from you since 9/17. I answered your questions - perhaps it is time for you to follow through with the initial agreement I had with you and Peter? I upheld my end of the bargain (by answering your questions and waiting a year), now you should return my $300.

I appreciate your speedy response, thank you ~

To answer your two questions:

In reviewing all of my appointments over the last year, the vast majority have been collegial and/or street referrals. The others have been from an association I sponsor, an HIV agency I donate to, and one was a walk-in. No inquiry has ever stated that they came from your site. For the most part this information is volunteered to me, and yes, I do ask if they don't tell me. Perhaps, as could be expected, people research me after having gotten the referral. So you would not be a referral source, per se, rather a stop along the way to me. I do not ask if they have been to your site specifically.

In response to your second question; I don't know. Perhaps it's because I'm covered with scales.

At this point in our discussion, let me ask you to remember that Peter and I agreed that a refund was hinged solely upon my satisfaction. It was a risk-free proposal.instead of a free trial to see if it would work for me, he said that I could pay for a year and either get my money back or, pending my satisfaction, be upgraded to the lifetime option.

From this point on, it appears that there is not much room for confusion. I am not satisfied. I am requesting that you honor the agreement I had with you.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation, and, I look forward to a speedy refund.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your email, we do appreciate it you bringing this to our attention.

The report you refer to is the only one on the net of this nature mentioning our company name - and Bob Veinos issue really lies with Capital One who rejected his refund request based on the fact that he couldn't find our phone number which is clearly displayed at the site. We did not make the final decision on his refund his credit card company did.

Regarding your refund agreement, it is very much based on not getting results. However, this is confusing as our stats for you show 103 clients reading your page - all these searchers found you based on expertise and region.

Our job is to really find out:
1. Do you ask every client where they found you.
2. If these people are finding you why are they not taking the process further.

To be fair, from our perspective we're doing our job.

Subject: Fwd: Eric B's Refund Discussion - Resend

I Googled "Steve Stockton 247 Coaching" in an attempt to get his direct email. Unfortunately, what first came up was a listing from usacomplaints.com. It seems as though the listed issue was addressed by a rather lengthy reply from Steve Stockton himself.

Would you be so kind as to forward my particular issue to him and see if he will address my issue too? Namely, by refunding the original fee as was agreed upon as a fundamental condition of my signing up with you.

Thank you in advance - Eric B

Thank you for your speedy reply, that's great.in response to your question; All of my clients have come from referrals.

Given that my $300 would have been easily covered with a few sessions from clients who would have been referred by your service, wouldn't it stand to reason that I would convert to the lifetime option for free and continue to make money? But this is not the case, and after a year of being on your site I have come to the conclusion that the service is unproductive for me and I would make more money by having a refund than staying with 24-7.

Please let me know how you would like to refund my fee, thank you ~ Eric

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your email. Our system actually shows you're getting clients clicking to you site (www.XXXXXXXXX.com) - this month 14 clients found clicked through having read over profile page at 24-7. Do you usually ask where clients have found you?
