DTE Energy disconnected my gas service on October 8. First of all I never received my home heating credit of $209. My services were disconnected for $340.
When I called in to have the services reconnected, I was told I needed to pay a $35 reconnect fee. I said fine and made a payment of $375.00.
Today, I received a bill from DTE with the reconnect fee of $35 put right back onto the bill. They are expecting me to pay this reconnect twice.
Instead of addressing the $35, they are trying to go back as far as July and discuss other bills. Is this right? Why are they justifying me paying this reconnect fee two times instead of just removing it.
I am so sick of DTE charging what they want and then justifying these amounts. They have been ripping people for years and I am not about to be one of them.
