After explaining why I needed a real effort on my resume A plus resume said they where up for the job. I said are you sure its going to take more than a typical job history and pretty typing to get this one right. Again, they assured me that it would be done right. I then supplied my old resume and detailed background that I thought would be useful to get them to started on writing. They said they would be in touch and should be done in 1 week.
A week later I called and said do you have any questions or thoughts or ideas about my resume. She asked some simple background questions and then told me it would be done in a day or 2. The following week I called to see why I hadn't heard anything. I was told I would receive it tomorrow. I got the resume, finally. It was a cut and paste from the same info I sent them! They put no more work into my resume than had already given them! Everyone I gave it to review said do not even send this out, its awful! She even got the objective wrong.
I confronted A plus about their work. All they said was their work was fine, and that have helped thousands. All they did for me is take money and give me a worthless resume. All they really offered me was typist/word processing service. Of course they only told me that after they were paid! This lady is nothing but a typist charging for career services. They are not certified resume writers. I checked with the certification associations.
