I made a payment by phone to Time Warner Cable and the automated teller took the entire amount due instead of what I instructed them to do. $399.40 came out of my account, which put my account in arrears, bounced that charge, and left me with not one cent of cash to my access for 8 days!
It took weeks to straighten out and during that time I investigated all the charge that are being charged onto my bill each month. They even charge air-time betweetn the electricity poles for an additional fee.in addition to the total rip-off that it is, when I told them to discontinue my phone, they informed me that I had signed a contract to keep all services until March and if I changed anything I would be assessed a charge of $150.00 to change it.
I informed them that it is Extortion to threaten me with a charge like that to not change anything when the contract I THOUGHT I signed was to stop the bill from going up, which it has every month since I started service.
I am a Senior Citizen and to try to straighten this whole thing out, I paid them in 2 payments of $200 and $300 last month and immediately got a bill saying I owe them $221 due now for this and the upcoming month. WHAT A TOTAL RIP OFF!!! Like their bill is the only one I have to pay on a fixed income? They would not even give me an extended billing date. No help there.
