I live in Little Rock, Arkansas which is about 525 miles from the "business" in Atlanta Ga. Known as A City Discount. I had a winning bid for a Combination Convection and steam oven for $255.00 which I drove 1200 miles to and from to pick up becuase it was lower than shipping.
Upon arival at A City Discount I gave the invoice to the accounting lady, and she told me my item would be right out and they would it up for me. After about 30 minutes of waiting a gentleman came to me and told me first that they had resold the item in their store but they were going to make this right. Come to find out they tell me they had "scrapped the machine". Mind you I already had an interested buyer and the extra part paid for this unit back in Little Rock. So this being a $50,000 item brand new I was a little mad.
I then had a customer service rep come to me and say that I needed to look around the store to see if I saw something comparable, which i did, then if I wanted that item he said I would have to pay an extra $1500 dollars, or I could take a refund and get a $255 credit for their store. Now after driving through some of God's worst county he ever made I was not satisfied. I tired again to explain how that was not going to work and again same answer.
What do I do now??? I dont know if they have charged back my card but I do know that I am out from my buyer here in Little Rock and out $500 in gas and two days worth of work coming to A City Discount. Stay away!!
