I recently visited Walmart in Waco, TX and had a most frustrating experience. After standing in line for approximately 20 minutes, I finally had the opportunity to pay for my purchase. Using my bank card to pay, I requested an additional $20 to be given to me after the purchase. When the verifying machine asked if the amount was ok, I pushed the yes button and assumed the transaction was complete.
After the clerk gave me my receipt, she shut the cash drawer without giving me the $20. I had to tell her about it and she said she was sorry that she had already shut the drawer and could not get to my money. She stated that I would have to wait until she rang up the next customer before the drawer could be opened. Unfortunately, the next customer had a very large number of items in her cart. This took another 10 minutes. No apology or anything else was in order.
Will I shop at Walmart again - NO! If this had been the first incident at walmart, maybe I would have. But it seems that this unfeeling chain is only in business for themselves and cares nothing about its employees or customers! I hope K-mart rises again soon!
