A gregarious young lady along with a 'trainee', fast talked me into purchasing a magazine subscription that is normally around $24. For $77. Dollars. I never suspected that I was being conned. When she handed me the agreement, I was flumoxed. But I had told her that I would participate. So I wrote out the check. Even though she pushed very hard for cash.
I wrote out the check because I knew I had 3 days to cancel the order. Which I did within minutes. The required form, etc. Was postmarked the next day. The same day the money was withdrawn from my account! I waited 30 days to see a correction, and now 90 days later, we still have not been reimbursed.
Phone calls, letters and emails have been unanswered or returned as undeliverable.
The magazine was a gift subscription that was to start in 4-6 weeks. The recipients have yet to recieve a single copy or letter indicating their subscription will start, etc.
