Absolute Disaster! Movex Inc. Is a self service mover that promises you wonderful service? They state that they Honor their commitments with honest, integrity, and friendly service. Well my experience with this company was a complete Debacle. I would rather carried my effects in a wheel barrel across the country then ever have to do business with this lying, disrespecting, dishonorable company.
I choose movex, due to the service that they promised me, which was. 1) Air ride suspension van, for a nice smooth ride. For my valuable equipment, which I purchased in Houston, TX and needed it delivered to Port Saint Lucie, FL. And 2) Once I loaded and secured my newly purchased equipment on the truck the driver would lock it in its own space Bulk head and would not be moved, touched or handled until it reached me at my destination. Well Movex, their subcontractor, shows up in a leased 20 Ryder truck with spring suspension, approximately 178,000 miles on this dirty, beat up truck. I ask the driver (Rob), this is the truck that will be hauling my expensive equipment to FL? Much to my surprise his answer was yes. I was disgusted! I then informed the driver that this truck does not have air suspension as I was promised and had paid for. He first said I think it does, then we shined a flash light under the truck to only see spring suspension. Lie. Then I discussed his travel plans with this beater truck and he said he would have to unload and reload my newly purchased equipment at least once possible twice before he got to FL. Another Lie, I was Disgusted! This Movex company had blatantly Lied to Me, and did not deliver on anything they had promised.
Know here is where it gets disrespecting. Since the truck and drivers plans where not even close to what I expected or was promised, when I booked my move with movex on 9/11/09. On 9/18/09 Friday evening, I did not load my valuable equipment on this beater truck. The driver (Rob) even agreed with me that my equipment would most likely be damaged on this truck in the move. Thats Nice. So know what to do? My plane was scheduled to leave Houston in flight to Florida Saturday 9/19/09 at 1:20pm where in a few days I should be expecting my new equipment to be delivered by movex to my business. Not Happening. On 9/19/09 Saturday morning approximately 10:00am EST. I talk to Chris (sales rep) for Movex, I explain my disgust, their screw up and that I was on a schedule to leave Houston this afternoon and my newly purchased valuable equipment was not on a truck heading to my business. I even explained to him I would be willing to change my flight if Movex could get the correct truck here. Chris said there was nothing he could do for me and he would pass the massage on to an operations manager, Molly Voth, Director of Customer service. However, he stated that she probably would not get the massage until Monday 9/21/09. I also sent an email to my sales rep (Deb), explaining my concerns and situation, She responded that, she had passed my message on to the operations manager as well.
This was absolutely terrible, I was leaving Houston in a few hours my newly purchased equipment, which I wired the money for Friday, was still in Houston and Movex did not care, Not sure when they plan on honoring their commitment. With the Few hours I had before I had to board my plane I tried calling other moving companies, but with no such luck on such short notice, understandable. I boarded my plane trying to have an optimistic outlook, telling myself movex will honor their commitment and we should be able to get this resolved Monday Morning. Monday 9/21/09 at 9:40 am EST I called Ms., Molly Voth, Director of Customer service and left massage. After NINE Phone calls and a hole day of leavening massages and talking to Deb, Scott, and Stacy, at Movex I never got a straight answer or a return phone call from the one person that could make a decision Ms., Molly Voth, Director of Customer service. That is pretty sad and extremely disrespectful. Meanwhile my valuable newly purchased equipment still sits in Houston where I will have to fly back down rent a truck and drive it home myself. Thanks a lot Movex
If youre thinking about hiring this Movex Company to do anything for you, I would first scold yourself with boiling hot water, and then ram your head into a concrete wall! Do your self a favor think again!
At 5:00pm EST Monday 9/21/09 Stacy told me that Molly Voth would give me a call tomorrow Tuesday 9/22/09 at 8:00am. The same disregard continued into Tuesday. Molly Voth did not call me. Deciding not to wait any longer for her to call me, I called her at approximately 10:00 am. This being the first time we talked, she understood and agreed with my dissatisfaction. To be fair she offered to do the right thing which was rescheduling the right truck, the truck that was agreed upon on 9/11/09 to transport my equipment from TX to FL. Know I needed to get back to Houston, TX so I could make sure my paid for valuable equipment was loaded properly, and in good working condition. So I asked/told Ms., Molly Voth, Director of Customer service that Movex should pay for my airfare giving the circumstances and inconveniences that Movex caused me. And the fact that my paid for equipment is in Houston and should be on its why to FL if everything had gone as promised. Molly never really gave me a clear answer on the airfare. However, she did offer me a 10% discount ($89.50) which was a joke. Though, she said she would look into it and get back to me after lunch. At 2:00pm EST, four hours since we had talked, I had not heard from her so I decided call her to see if she had come up with anything. To my amazement she had not came up with anything, but reassured me that she was working on it. So I asked her to call me by 4:30 pm EST, she said she would. Again I called her and left a message at 4:32pm and she got back to me at 5:07 pm EST with, you guessed it she had nothing; She did not have a truck rescheduled or anything that would make the situation advance. What is this company good at? At that point I explained to her I could not wait any longer for Movex to get moving on this matter. Obviously Movex had No appreciation for the urgency of this matter, my equipment still sits in Houston and I needed it for my business. Not to mention its paid for at a warehouse where a business operates and needs the purchased equipment moved. Therefore Three frustrating days later on 9/22/09 Movex has still not Honored there commitments which was suppose to be done on 9/18/09. I believe I gave them ample chances to honor their commitments. Yet, I did receive a full refund from Movex, Yippee. However, does not change the facts that do to the inadequacies, lies and lack of integrity by Movex, I have to rebook a trip to Houston and drive my purchased equipment back to FL my self.
