I wanted to sign up for Dishnetwork service so I google it and came up with www.IDISHNETWORK.com. After I submit the form requesting service, an agent called me back. He told me about a long list of services and promotions they had, ask for my bank acccount number and told me that this is only to verify that I can qualify for the service contract. I signed up for a package and was played a 15 minutes long disclosure recording. At no point this the agent mention the 99$ processing fee! If I knew about this fee I could have just go to the yellow pages and get the service of DishNetwork itself. A few days after, I checked my bank transactions and there was a 99.99 fee to www.IDISHNETWORK.com. The first time I called them, the agent told me his supervisor will call me back the next day. Next day comes and goes. I called a second time and was told that they will look for the recording of my conversation and will call me back the next day to discuss. Next day comes and goes, I called a third time, this time the agent told me the processing fee was mentioned in the disclosure! I asked to listen to the recorded converstion but he says the fee's only mentioned in the disclosure. So the trick is, bury the processing fee in the 15 minutes long disclosure and hope that the client won't pay attention because it was too long.
I hope someone else won't make the same mistake I did and go to this website. Also Dishnetwork should clean up its act for allowing these 'AUTHORIZED' retailers to charge their customers that way.
