As a professional installer they have an obligation to know the product better than the customer. This includes all safety precautions and related items. And to know it well enough to be able to instruct a customer in its safe use. The first problem, what is a high efficieny heat pump package sold to my family home is not big enough to satisfy the home with enough heat. Therefore the compressor motor will run continous all night long. The thermostat setting will never reach its set point and shut off. The second problem. The electrical connections outside on the unit it self is a safety factor because it's not weathertight on both ends of a 230 volts disconnect switch box. Poorly installed. The entire heat pump package sold is not capable of suppling enough heat through out the home because the sales person lied when he said that it would plenty enough heat for the home and made his sale. ARS will no longer accept my complaint or return my calls. ARS have indeed left me and my family in an uncomfortable home. I don't find it cost efficiency. It's a $3,925 ripp-off and American Residential Services Inc. Of South Carolina must feel thier happy they got there money. We have to suffer through the cold nights when its 25-30 degree's. And all I can hear is the compressor running trying to heat the home all night. Running my electric bill higher.
