Boston Quality Movers left the moving truck open, unlocked and unguarded during which time, my very expensive road bike was stolen out of the back of the truck. My frustration comes largely from very unhelpful customer service. They simply say, "file a claim" or, "This has never happened to us before so we don't know what to tell you." Movers are "licensed and insured" for just these sort of situations and they are completely lacking in any sort of guidance in how to proceed with recovering stolen property or the reimbursement of it. These businesses survive on recommendations and customer service. They lose my business, any future moves and any recommendations I would give. Reimbursing me for a $1200 bike seems like a small price to pay. It's also a very bad idea to leave a moving van unlocked, unguarded and open in a large city.
