"The Movers" has a two-page ad in the New Orleans Yellow Pages and appears to be a thoroughly professional moving company. It is not. The men running the company have been ripping off consumers for a decade or more. They will (1) increase the price after they have loaded your belongings, (2) promise immediate delivery and then take weeks to get there, (3) damage your belongings, (4) "lose" a lot of your things, and then (5) when they finally do show up, dump your stuff on the sidewalk and run.
This company operates, or according to the Better Business Bureau has operated, under at least 23 different names:

This company also uses, or has used some 42 different telephone numbers.
The BBB has 54 complaints filed against this company in the last 36 months, and only five of those complaints were resolved. The company did not even respond to 45 of the complaints.
