ISI called today representing themselves as Verizon. They SAID they were switching the billing provider. Made it sound like some outside company did the billing processing (paper billing) for Verizon and that they were changing from one billing processor to a new one.
They told me there was a difference between a "provider" and a "carrier"... Yeah right. It all seemed very official but there were things about it that were off.
So basically, I got scammed for about 5 mins, called Verizon to find out I had been had, and they immediately helped me clear it up. Verizon said I had been "slammed" which is exactly what ISI told me they weren't going to do. Nice.
