They blatantly lied!
Moving from Houston to San Diego and I had Tony come to give me an on-site (BINDING) moving quote - according to him, I had a maximum of 2000 lbs. We came up with an agreement of $950 for 1900 lbs, and any additional weight thereafter would be a simple flat rate of $1300. They sent an "Order for Service" email stating these facts. Never received a written contract, terms and conditions, etc.
They picked up my shipment on a Saturday, and waited until Wednesday to contact me - just to inform me I had "4180 lbs"!!! I regret not witnessing the scale. Now they want $2600 from me (including an additional 9% fuel surcharge and $400 for packing supplies when I personally packed EVERYTHING, and was never told of such fees!).
The owner of the company is VERY rude - even had the nerve to call me UNCIVILIZED when I was informing him that his own employee gave me a $1300 quote. They are now holding everything I own in their possession, and have threatened to auction off my belongings. I am trying to come to resolution with them just for the sake of getting everything I own back, but I fully intend on filing every possible complaint with every governing organization that will let me.
