On 6/25 10:45 AM my dad was doing some errands at Best Buy and was approached by an Italian/European man who asked if he spoke Italian and if he could help him. He then showed some jackets and suits claiming that he had just been to a trade show in San Francisco and was unable to sell these pieces and would be charged 25% duty in Italy. He then said that he had lost all his money in a casino and needed 1200 to pay his car rental (black lincoln suv, enterprise car rental key chain, license plate starts with 6V).
It makes me sad that people like this exist to hurt honest people.
He then proceeded to go on with his sob story that he was from Milan and needed to catch a 5 Pm plane. We tried on some of the jackets and bought some. When I tried the web link and to look into the brand names on the jackets I found out they were all fakes and no good.
I hope this person gets caught and is brought to justice.
Physical description: White, cropped greyish hair, light blue eyes, approx 6 feet tall (?), wore a light grey suit, had a European accent.
Does anyone out there have more info so that we can catch this guy?
I guess it is true... If it seems too good to be true it probably isnt.
