I purchased a 10-week old Shiz Tzu from Puppy Paradise on June 20 and brought the dog home the same day. The dog became very sick the same day and began vomiting and after a while, could barely move. I brought the dog to the emergency room on June 21. The dog tested positive for Parvovirus (a virus with an extremely high death rate in puppies if untreated). Additionally, the dog was diagnosed with ear mites and also a heart palpitation. The veterinarian certified the dog as unsellable and I had to return it to Puppy Paradise.
The sales person at Puppy Paradise tried to convince me that the Puppy did not have Parvovirus, even though the puppy had a very positive test result and the fecal matter smelled of the virus, and even through the dog would not eat and was vomiting on itself. I am now concerned that this establishment has not sought medical care for the dog as they will not return my emails or voicemails inquiring about the status of the dog.
I strongly advise anyone considering buying a puppy / dog not to purchase from this store, given the fact that the puppy was diagnosed by a veterinarian with multiple health issues, and given the response of the person that worked at the store once I informed them of the situation.
