Spartan Financial Service is in short full of ripoff artists. They are trained to harass you to the point you will pay them just to shut them up. They called me one saturday and proceded to explain how the hospital had contacted them to collect money I owed following a visit to the ER. I knew my account had been out for collection because of a billing error to my insurance company. This account had been resolved after several calls between the hospital and my insurance carrier. I explained this clearly to them and was told they would check and see. Then they ask about my wifes account. I quickly responded that I would like to speak to a supervisor he put me on hold. He cme right back and told me that my account had been paid and proceeded to hang up on me. Beware of these preditors! Don't let them get the best of you. Make them mail you proof of your dept or you'll be paying twice. These people should not be able to report these types of dept to the credit reporting agency until you have been given adequet time to solve any conflict between the hospital and your insurance.
