My co-worker purchased a puppy from a man named Christian Philippe advertising on Kijiji, and when he went to pick the puppy up, was surprised to find that it was a petshop instead of a person's home. The petshop doesn't have any name, but rather just says "Pet Shop" on the outside. He bought the puppy anyway, and surprise surprise, the poor little thing was damaged goods. Within the first 24 hours, the puppy had to be rushed to a vet.
He (the puppy) was diagnosed with round-worm (and subsequently vomited one up, a special rare treat), and Encephalitis.
He was sold with a guarantee that he had been dewormed and had his first round of shots.
The man, Christian Philippe, gave my co-worker a business card that says, "BUY SELL TRADE — PUPPY DOGS" with an address of 2550 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA. I cannot find any actual business under the name of PUPPY DOGS, but there is a pet store at that address that is called Noy's Pet Shop. There are many consumer complaints against this shop.
Doing an internet search of the phone number in Christian Philippe's Kijiji add turned up fourteen pages of similar adds, with many different kinds of puppies, all guaranteed to have had their shots and to have been de-wormed, as well. All adds specify "cash only, " and none mention a business or shop of any kind. Many of his adds also
There must be a connection between Christian Philippe and Noy's Pet Shop, but I have no proof other than the address. I can tell you for sure that the dog that my co-worker purchased from Christian Philippe, at the store-with-no-name, was NOT healthy, and had NOT been dewormed.
You would do yourself a favor (and not to mention do all dogs a favor, as well) by not purchasing a puppy advertised by Christian Philippe.
