I am an independent contractor. I have completed my end of the contract and have received no payment from Beloved. I have worked for this agency previously and had only a few issues. I feel it is my duty to warn any potential clients and contractors about Beloved's work ethics and values. They are very unorganized and dishonest. I have been notified by the client that the agency has received payment.
After a month of calling, emailing, and sending out accounting inquiries, I still get the same response. "We have not received payment from the client." A few other contractors have received payment. They are outright lying to me. Our contract states they must pay me within 7 days of receiving payment. I have contacting lawyers and the attorney general. I have been advised that it would not be worth filing a suit against them. And filing a small claim is $150. I have no money to pay my bills or to eat. They are taking advantage of me and my only option is to speak the truth. I have heard many bad things about this agency in the field. Unfortunately, as a broke independent contractor, I am powerless.
