Several times, I have paid the United States Postal Service money to send mail "return receipt requested", so that I would receive return receipts with the information that is supposed to be completed on delivery.in most cases, I have received the return receipts, but with most or all of the information that is supposed to be completed on delivery left blank.
This is not an isolated case. It has happened with the post offices in several different states.
If anyone else accepted money to send some information by mail, and then regularly sent blank forms instead, they probably could be charged with mail fraud and sent to prison. Why should the postal service not be subject to the same laws as it requires the rest of us to obey?
