This company did not do anything that I would consider a ripoff.
The product was exactly as advertised and they did not charge me any money.
The problem is that they told FedEx Ground to obtain an signature and not to leave the product without one. As a result, FedEx Ground did not leave the product the first time that they brought it. That night, their telephone rep agreed to have the package held at their station for me to pick up the next day, but said that I should confirm in the morning. The next day, I left home and then called; the telephone rep said that the package had been loaded onto a truck for redelivery, so I had to go back home to wait for the redelivery attempt. FedEx had me spend a day at the scheduled delivery address waiting for a redelivery attempt, but they did not come. Their telephone rep did not know why the driver did not come, after the telephone rep told me to return home and wait for the driver. They think the driver forgot to make the redelivery attempt. Finally, on the third day, I drive to the FedEx Ground station two towns away and picked up the shipment.in the end, I would have been better paying for cards from a local store. The day that I wasted waiting for a redelivery that did not occur and the gas the I used to drive to their station and back were worth more than what I saved by ordering free cards from Marketsplash By HP.
This was mostly FedEx Ground's fault, not the merchant's fault. However, there would have been no problem if the merchant had not required FedEx to obtain a signature, because then I could have had FedEx simply leave the order for me even if I was not there. The problems happened only because the merchant required FedEx Ground to obtain a signature.
The free business cards are an excellent deal if either
a) You have a traditional brick-and-mortar business that has someone there to sign for FedEx Ground shipments throughout the day,
b) The cards are for a traditional brick-and-mortar business that has someone there to sign for FedEx Ground shipments throughout the day,
c) You are home all day on business days
d) Your apartment building has a doorman who can sign for packages at your home
e) You are having the cards delivered to your box at "Mailboxes, Etc.", or similar business, that has an employee to sign for FedEx Ground shipments.
If having someone at the delivery address all day on every business day is not a probably, then order from this company.
Do not order from them if either:
a) You work out of your car
b) You spend most of the day visiting clients and do not have someone back at the office to sign for packages
c) You are unemployed and spend most of the day away from home, looking for work
d) You are a student and cannot miss class to sign for packages
e) Your day job is at business that does not allow you to have personal packages shipped there
f) Your day job is at business that does not know that you are moonlighting, and you do not want them to see the business cards that you are ordering.
If there is not normally someone at the delivery address to sign for deliveries, then it will be too much time, trouble, and gas, to get the shipment.
Otherwise, it is a great product.
