My wife ordered a laptop computer for our son [who lives in Memphis, while we live near Nashville] from Circuit City, who in turn hired FedEx to deliver it. As my son was waiting in his apartment, the driver said he delivered it to someone who signed for it. Circuit City says it is FedEx's fault, and FedEx says it is a Circuit City problem. Meanwhile, we are out 800 dollars. Here is the funny part: my son works for FedEx Air. The company refuses to look into the matter any further. The police say it is a civil matter, and the credit card company says, "Well, they got a signature." It was not my son's signature, mind you.
