A overly energetic young man (20's) comes to door of my apartment complex selling magazines as a way to earn points to win a contest. He tells me he's a struggling entrepreneur and their going to give him $5,000 to start his new business and a trip to Rome, Italy. He was a little too giggly for me so I bought a magazine I had wanted to purchase anyhow and he told me where I could go online to track his progress and that he was in first place so far.
The next morning (because he came to my apartment at 8:30pm) I checked the Better Business Bureau national web page and they had no company on file. I typed the company name into Google and the first page to come up is this one. You can imagine I canceled the check and the subscription immediately.
Please don't be fooled by nice young men trying to get somewhere in life. If I could I'd find him and tell him that there is no quick buck way to get ahead in life. Get a job and work hard and with integrity.
