I joined this BMG Music Service by mail and they offered me free CDs and all I had to do is buy one CD with in a certain time frame which I did. Well, I sent in my check and it took them almost two months to cash it and after they did I received a letter that I had not paid for my last CD and that my account with them was seriously past due.
I responded telling them that I had paid my bill and to re-check their records. I received three more letters which the third contained a threatening statement that they were sending my account into collections if I did not send them a check imediately.
I had to call them which is a toll number to discuss my account and they told me that I had to contact my bank and get the records of my past checks and proove that I had paid them. I did do this and sent them the information but it cost me money and time to research this information and send it to them.
I don't think they treated me fairly by having me proove that I had paid them when they already had my money and in addition having to pay for the proof.
BMG Music has poor customer service and need to be exposed as being a rip off and trying to rebill people and threaten them. I have cancelled my membership with them and so have all of my friends and family. Word of mouth and the internet is a powerfull way to communicate how you are treated by a company.
