I am an outstanding customer of DVP who received a bill in December that was triple what I normally pay. I called to complain/dispute what seemed to be an abnormally high bill that was even double the previous December bill in 2007. The customer service agent ran down a list of questions to me: Yes I have a digital thermostat that stays on 68, new windows, stripping around doors, a new hot water heater that stays on 120.
I was promised an investigator would come out to check on my meter. Never happened. I was given a direct number to a manager who is very kind but is having problems getting the answers we both need. February 27th a new digital meter was mysteriously installed at my house. Where is the old meter and was it working properly like they claimed it had been? But still no investigator. I was promised an investigator within 30 days of my original complaint.
January, February and March have since been the same. I have filed complaints with the SCC and have stayed in constant contact with customer service managers who have no answers for me. I just want to know what is pulling so much electricity all of a sudden when it has never been that high in years. If I owe a bill, I will pay it but when no one has answers, I feel like I am being scammed.
