Complaint / review text:
We ordered merchandise from Blair in early December. They sent us the wrong merchandise. We returned it. They received the return, and billed our credit card $7.99 for return shipping!
A month later, we had not received a refund. We sent an email inquiry, and were told that the refund had been issued January 26th, but that it could take up to two weeks to be "posted". This was a lie. Then a "supervisor" admitted that they hadn't "processed" the refund yet, but promised it would be done in a few days. This too was a lie. Then they claimed that it had been issued January 26th again, but that it could take up to FOUR weeks to be "posted". This too was a lie, which contradicted their previous lies.
Then they claimed they were having problems with a "major revision" to their computer system, and that somehow this disabled them from issuing a credit, but not from charging my card for purchases and "return merchandise" fees, nor from sending out email advertisements every day. Finally, I notified my credit card company of the disputed debt, and (after investigation) the credit card company gave me my refund, and charged it back to Blair.
Obviously, Blair does NOT issue refunds without the customer going to such extreme lengths. Their various excuses are deliberate lies, and fraudulent by any standard.
I would recommend that anyone considering doing business with Blair avoid them like the plague, and anyone expecting a refund contact your credit card company, attorney general, and the FCC.
