THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM! They are to send a CD with a listing of US GRANTS - sounds like a good deal. But what they fail to tell you in clear wording is... Once they have your Credit Card info they will bill you 39.95 and 9.95 and 7.95 MONTHLY!!! ALMOST 60 BUCKS A MONTH!!!
I went the link on what I thought was an Obama site (noted above) - asking you to take the next step for Education Grants.
I got the reciept via email - and it looked SHADEY so I checked on line and sure enough - there are numerous complaints.
They are VERY HAPPY to CANCEL - the additional charges if you call the number but when posed the question ARE THEY RECURRING AND DO YOU HAVE TO CANCEL THEM they state "well when you trail period ends then we charge the account" NO WHERE UP FRONT IS THIS EXPLAINED! - OH YES LOTS OF STATIC ON THE LINES - ONE CAN BARELY MAKE OUT THE CONVERSATION!
I forwarded the website to the White House and I hope that they take action!
Maybe the secret service needs to look into this too!!!
If i were you i would not do business with them - they got $2.29 from me but i have the cancelation codes for the other "trails offers" that are back-ended on thier scam! - this transpired this morning and so i have not had the chance of getting this cd but if i get it - i will copy it and forward the original to the white house and secret service - i am sure it it packed full of virus's and trojan horses!!!
Sad it seems this site is everywhere and it keeps comping up with different names each times it comes out.
Lesson learned - never send money for a public service and never give them a credit card number - someone needs to do something about it!
