I became interested in World Voice Link when they called me one morning almost 8 months ago.
I kept saying I wasn't interested over and over again just to be manipulated by the telemarketer into signing up for this service.
The person used such antics as to bring my boyfriend into the subject saying if he loved me that he will give me the 20 bucks a month to pay for the service and I think thats down right ridiculous. Well I was getting tired and I finally gave into the stupid antics and since the person said I could cancel the service in 30 days with no charge.
I recieved all my info in the mail and even tried to set up my 800 number and never successfully set it up. After a week or so of failing to set up the number i desided to call and cancel the services.
The new telemarketer informed me that the person lied to me on the telephone and i had to cancel the service in 3 days to get the responce of no charge. So I said fine and they said they had to charge me the set up fee but they would refund the first month fee of $19.95.
Since I live with my mother I had to inform her of this mishap since her name is on the phone bill and she said it was fine that we will pay it and not worry about it.
Well I was never refunded the money. But I didn't notice till recently that I continue to get the bill every month. My mom was always one to just pay the bills and get them out of the way she never realized that we were still being charged this monthly fee till recently when the phone bill just kept getting higher and higher.
Now that my mother is ill I have started investigating this company to see if we can get our money back.
This is outrageous I would assume that it has been 8 months of 20 dollar bills each month which would be almost 160 dollars of extra charge for a service we don't even use.
This company needs to be stopped!
