I am a member of the United States Coast Guard stationed at Sector St. Petersburg. I was recently promoted and needed 4 uniform tops to be altered with new name tapes and insignias'. My wife dropped the uniforms off at the mentioned company and was told the prices for the large name tapes were $5 and the prices for the collar devices were $3. I needed 7 name tapes and 8 collar devices sewn on. The totaled would have equaled $59. My wife also stated that we needed the uniforms by Sunday which Sue said that would be fine. The company is closed on Sunday's so I could not pick up my uniforms then. I arrived on Monday at 7:00am to pick up my uniforms and I was told they wouldn't be ready until 9:30am. I had to leave for work so my wife agreed to pick them up. When she arrived and attempted to pay for the uniforms Sue said the total price was $117. My wife asked how this could be and she said the price was $10 for name tapes and $5 for collar devices. Not to mention that all of the uniforms were shoved in a Bed Bath and Beyond bag. I have attempted to resolve this issue with the vendor stating that they have no advertised prices and prices could be easily altered after the fact. I contacted another alteration shop in the Bay Area and was quoted $4 for the collar devices and $2 for the name tapes. I would like to be refunded the difference of the full amount to the amount that was originally quoted to my wife.
