The business that I work for was contacted by USBR about an advertisement for our company on their website. At the time, we had just lost our marketing director and so, the call was sent to my department. My supervisor requested that I fill out the paperwork for the invoice. When I looked for the contract, I couldn't find it. When I called USBR to get a copy, I was told that there was no contract but that there was a charge because they had posted the advertisement.
I got their web address and there was an ad for our company on the website but they had our name spelled wrong. I contacted our ex-director of marketing and he said that he had never heard of the company before.
I called USBR to question them again and all "Jennifer" will say is "What is your invoice number" she does not have the name of the individual who supposedly requested the advertisement or a copy of anything that proves that we even knew about it before we received the invoice.
I thought that I had this taken care of last fall when I told her that without a signed contract, I cannot process any invoice but, I received another invoice with a new date on it today! This is becoming harassment.
