Our company recently received an unsolicited invoice from "Premium Data Marketing, Inc." for a tradeshow directory, etc. Usually somewhere on the invoice there's fine prints that say "this is a solicitation, not an invoice". But this one doesn't say that. It shows the amount owe $685.00 and lists the services being sold to www.tradeshowbiz.com. On top of this, the invoice shows that we received:
- tradeshowbiz CD
- on-line update supplement
- full access website password
- our company's bold listing on: www.tradeshowbiz.com
I spoke with the sales rep that contacted us for money and he said that my boss had approved over the phone back in November for this listing. I told him that my boss checked out the website and couldn't find our listing any where. He swore up and down that our company is on there. I had him walked me through the web site to locate our company, and guess what, no result found!
He was dumb founded and said to me that he might have showed me the wrong category to search for our company. I told him that this is a scam so stop calling us for payment. This really got him ticked off so he said to me that my company is a scam for not paying for service. Hahaha... What service? Whatever... Scam, scam, scam is all I can say.
