Buyer Beware! Rip off

Buyer bewarepoor customer service-not at all what she leads you to believe. I placed my order with Custom Silk Creations on October 22. I waited patiently for my consultation with Susan, which is supposed to take place within 14 days of your order on a Wednesday. I emailed the morning of November 12, since I had not yet received a consultation call from her. She promptly replied, stating that my consultation would take place that day. This was the only time after my order was placed that I received a prompt reply from Susan.

During the consultation, I told her directly what I wanted referencing bouquets pictured on her website. I also gave her our names and date of wedding, along with a quote to be placed on our Unity Candle Set. She stated that I would receive a picture of my bouquet for approval on November 29. I, however, did not receive the photo of my bouquet until after I spoke with her via the Live Chat option on her website on December 10. I asked that she adjust my bouquet and she stated she would do so.

I again contacted her on December 18 through her Live Chat option on the website, inquiring about the status of my order. She stated that she would get the flowers shipped on December 26 and that I would receive the tracking information through an email. I never did.

I tried to call numerous times leaving messages 2 or 3 times and tried to contact her through multiple emails on December 30. She stated that somehow the flowers were never shipped and that she would be shipping them on December 31 in the morning and that I again would receive a tracking number through my email.

On December 31, I patiently waited for my tracking email to arrive. It never did. I sent another email on December 31 in the afternoon. And another message was left on her voice mail on January 2 along with another email. I received a tracking number in my email on January 2. I attempted to track the package on The United States Postal Service website. The message I received stated the number was not valid. I attempted to contact Susan by telephone and through email regarding the incorrect tracking number. She notified me that it was a delivery confirmation number, not a tracking number. She also informed me that my package shipped from Pittsburgh, PA on January 2 and would arrive within 2-3 days. I hadn't received my package as of mail delivery on January 6.

I again emailed Susan on January 6 regarding the whereabouts of my package. She replied back informing me that my package shipped from Pittsburgh, PA on January 5. How can one package ship from the same location twice? She said she would be checking into it as this couldn't possibly be the correct information. My shipment arrived on January 7. A full 11 weeks after my order had been placed with Custom Silk Creations.

Upon opening my package I was unpleasantly surprised to find that the flowers were not of the best quality and not really what I had ordered. Some items were as I ordered but my Grooms Bout was not. I had ordered it to be a Calla Lily with a Red Rose. What came was 2 Calla Lillies and a Stephanotis. Mind you this was the only Stephanotis in my whole set. Why there? And the ribbon she used on mine was not cloth ribbon. That's right it was gift wrap ribbon. The kind you curl with a scissors. We also did not receive our Unity Candle or our Flower Girl bouquet.

I contacted Susan regarding this through an email asking when these items would ship. I never got a response regarding the shipment of my remaining items. I finally reached someone named Debbie through the live chat option on the website. She said she would personally take care of my remaining items.

On 2/4/09, a full 15 weeks after placing my order, I received my Unity Candle Set. To say the least I was not very happy! The candle was to be personalized, it was NOT! The candle was chipping and cracked. And I am pretty sure my 8 year old could have done a better job and it wouldn't have cost me $25.00!! We STILL have not received the flower girl bouquet we ordered.

The website states: From the day you place your order an pay for it it takes about 4-6 weeks. That means it will be no longer then 6 weeks, but it is usually a lot less then 6 weeks. Remember each piece of your personal package is custom made to your specifications. This takes a while. Also we do the orders in the order they have been recieved. We have a large amount of customers. We do our best to get your order in and out just as soon as we possible can. We will also provide you with a customer number for you to use to find out where the status of your current order is.

As of today, I have dealt with this company for 15 weeks! And I am sure I will never see the Flower Girl Bouquet that I ordered and PAID FOR!!! I wish I had never stumbled upon this company in the first place!!!

This company is not accredited through the Pennsylvania Better Business Bureau.

I highly advise you not to use this company. She takes advantage of you on what is supposed to be your special day. What a rip off!
